Taking on NSPCC’s 5k Walk for Children

17 Nov 2021

The KAT Pack have decided to take on NSPCC’s 5k Walk for Children on Tuesday 7th December 2021, walking 5k in our local area to help raise money for children who need help and support.

As avid fundraisers for the NSPCC Colchester Business Group, the team here at KAT were eager to get involved when we heard about this new opportunity to raise money for such a great cause. Over the years, we have done our bit by organising and hosting 10 years of Emerald Balls and launching our popular social media campaigns #NSPCCBearDiaries and #NSPCCBearDiariesWFHEdition.

The set date for the walk to take place is 21st December 2021, the longest night of the year. This is a time when children in difficult situations, such as abusive households, are made to face dark and lonely winter nights in fear. We would like to encourage other businesses, families, or groups of friends, to take part in the Walk for Children, and help change the lives of young people in need. It costs just £10 to sign up, and you’ll be posted an exclusive NSPCC t-shirt to wear during your walk! All you have to do next is set up your fundraising page, make sure you promote it so that people can donate, and then walk your 5k.

We’ll be taking on the challenge as a team a little earlier on in the month, on the 7th December, with some of our family members and four-legged friends tagging along too! Our fundraising page is all set up and ready for you to make your donation – any amount is appreciated and can help to make the world of difference to children who need it.
