We love to support local businesses and organisations
whenever possible, being a Colchester business ourselves with such love for our
historic town! So, when King Coel’s Kittens reached out to us for assistance with promoting this year’s
legendary firework display, taking place on Friday 5th November from 6pm in
Colchester Castle Park, it was a no brainer for the KAT pack to get involved.
This year’s firework spectacular deserves more fuss than
ever, not only owing to its cancellation last year due to the pandemic, but
because this year’s event is the 50th one! With the help of Dynamic Fireworks, who kindly
provided some great props, Esign Media,
who printed some beautiful vinyl stickers, and Suffolk Digital who printed a wonderful foamex sign, we curated a sparkling window
display in the busy Lion Walk Shopping Centre. Complete with a fiery backdrop, roaring rockets and even a real
(non-active) bomb, we certainly think it was one eye catching way to promote
the event!
Established back in 1962, King Coel’s Kittens are a
wonderful group who, over 50 years of events, have raised over half a million
pounds for people and groups with special needs living in the local community.
They’ve supported organisations such as YMCA, Acorn Village, Scout and Guide
Groups, St Helena Hospice, Toy Library and Hospital Radio Colchester, providing
furnishings, educational resources, first aid equipment and much more.
We are so proud to have been involved with this year’s event, not only to help raise money for the local community, but to bring the people of Colchester together once again, after having missed great events like this one for too long.
