KAT have worked in the Colchester community for over 15 years now and we love nothing more than Colchester at Christmas time. From organising our annual charity events for the NSPCC through to Colchester’s Light Switch On , to festive school projects with Fenwick and the Colchester BID – November and December has always been a festive fun-filled time with celebrations from the KAT Pack.

With the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020, it’s evident that these usual festivities, enjoyed by the local Colchester crowds, would not be taking place this year. KAT knew we had to do something to still put a smile on the face of the town we all love so much!

We created a storyboard and joined forces with our friends over at CliQQ Studios to film some familiar faces of Colchester in a nod to Morecambe and Wise’s Christmas editions of bringing people together and bringing sunshine.

#MerryColchester is all about the town we all know so well and the people and businesses that keep it thriving. Expect to see numerous familiar local faces but always how you’d usually see them when you watch – a big shoutout to all those who got involved. We’re very grateful and we couldn’t do it with everyone being such good sports!

After watching the #MerryColchester video, we encourage all Colchester businesses to share their own piece of Christmas magic, posting on their own social platforms using the hashtag #MerryColchester so that we can like and share all. Let’s bring Christmas in Colchester to our screens during a time that it can’t be celebrated out on its well-known cobbled streets.

We hope you enjoy watching as much as the teams at KAT Marketing and CliQQ Studios enjoyed making it.
